As a burnout coach who specializes in helping high-achieving women business owners, I know that feeling unmotivated can be a huge obstacle to achieving your goals. But the truth is, motivation isn't something that just happens. It's something that you have to work at, every day. Here are some ideas for how to stay motivated when you feel like shit:

Shift your Mindset. It’s impractical to think that motivation is going to be constant in your life.
Focus on your why: It can be easy to lose sight of your ultimate goal, your purpose, your reason for doing what you do when you're feeling unmotivated. Take some time to remind yourself of your "why." Write down your ultimate goal, and break it down into smaller, more manageable tasks. Keep that in mind as you work towards your goals.
Break it down: Sometimes, the reason we feel unmotivated is because our goals feel overwhelming. Breaking your goals down into smaller, more manageable tasks can help you feel less overwhelmed and more motivated. Focus on completing one task at a time, and celebrate each small win along the way.
Change your environment: Sometimes, a change of scenery can do wonders for your motivation. If you're feeling stuck, try working from a different location, or taking a break to go for a walk outside. A change of scenery can help you feel refreshed and more motivated to get back to work.
